Can two male Dogue de Bordeaux-s live together?

Big Dog | July 22nd, 2010

Depends.
It isn’t the best idea, but it can work out. Having two male dogs is always a bit hard, because both try to take over the dominance.
The only way possible for them to live together in peace is if they live together from early puppyhood, and they are well-socialized even from this age, and the most important thing is that one of them has to be the leader of the pack, and the other one has to accept it. There can’t be two leaders at the same time and if the roles are not clear, they’ll be fighting and competing all the time. This is why it is easier to have one male and female –  in this situation the female lets the male lead.
